Foreclosures on in Anchorage or Eagle River are homes that have gone through the foreclosure process and are back on the market.  These are sometimes referred to as REO (Real Estate Owned), ORE, foreclosures, or bank-owned homes.  Other foreclosures are sold at county auctions, which are riskier and require all-cash buyers.

In contrast, these bank-owned foreclosures are fairly straightforward and some allow for bank financing. Even inexperienced buyers have access to bank-owned foreclosures. Our buyers have the option of an inspection period before closing the contract on a foreclosure. This allows the buyer a short-term "grace period" in the case that the property doesn't live up to their expectations.

Welcome to the foreclosures!

Start your search by asking yourself:

  • What is my max allowable out of pocket expenses?
  • What are my holding costs (if any)?
  • Do I personally have any skills that would help reduce costs?
  • How hot is the market in this demographic?
  • What is my time-frame if I am doing a flip?
  • Are all of my contacts in place and ready (contractors, electricians, painters, ect.)?
  • If my calculations are off, how bad will a -10% loss affect my life?
  • Am I experienced in this?
  • Do I have some one by my side I trust if I am not experienced?
